Is This Really How Husky Fans Think?

"Imagine that, Washington State taking its seven-game win streak up against Washington next winter, with Bone, a former Huskies assistant coach, trying to extend it."
From the SeattlePI, Dan Raley gives his opinion on Tony Bennett, before it was announced he was staying at WSU. I think he should be more concerned with the team that he is supposed to write about.

It irritated me that almost everyone outside of Pullman assumed it was a foregone conclusion that he was taking the IU job. It seems some coaches still value pride, honor, and duty over the dollar bill, and I'm proud of the fact we have that kind of coach.

Doubtless he will leave at some point, as all coaches do, but I believe he'll stay here long enough to build up a strong tradition of winning basketball.

The thing that I found most absurd about that comment is that he assumed we would hire a former Husky assistant. Bone did lead PSU to the Tourney and may be a Pac-10 caliber coach someday but I don't think he is yet. But yeah, it is refreshing that we have a coach that takes pride in what he is doing, instead of looking to get paid.

Yeah I don't know how many former Huskies I could stand have running my teams. I mean Jim Mora is going to be taking over the Hawks after next year and I consider 1 Husky too many in my book...
