Abercrombie Has Left WSU

Thomas Abercrombie has left the WSU Basketball team and will head back to his native homeland of New Zealand. This had been rumored for awhile and is now official. With the new recruiting class coming in it did not appear there was going to be any playing time available for Abercrombie over the next couple of seasons. Good luck to him.

I think this is good news. This will allow the new clss to play more and now opens up another spot. Any chance of getting PG Paul McCoy out of Portland. It appears he verbally committed to SMU and was rumored to be interested in WSU prior to the big man from Spokane signing on. Just wondering who they're looking at signing now.

I think it is good news too. Everyone always heard about how good Abercrombie was but he never saw any PT so he must not have fit into Tony's system. I don't see McCoy taking this schollie. Unless not having a full scholarship is the only reason he didn't go to WSU. I thought maybe they will give it to Rochestie but I doubt he would take one at this point. Maybe they will pick up a under the radar guard before the season starts. However, my bet is they save the scholarship for next year and add another player to that class. Remember, Casto still hasn't qualified so if he doesn't we could be down scholarship players which could present a problem in the future.
