In the first game of the season the Cougs definitely impressed scoring the first 28 points of the game. It was pretty much over from that point on. The final score ended up being 71-26. Wow. Very good news for a young team that is probably still finding its groove. Aron Baynes led the Cougs with 14 points in 14 minutes played. Klay Thompson led all of the Freshman with 8 points. While the opponent, Mississippi Valley State, isn't exactly a solid team, the way the Cougs won in their first game should have fans pretty excited. Great to see a W and Cougars on the same line.
